How to Apply UV DTF Transfers

What You’ll Need

Applies to glass, plastic, metal, acrylic, and more.
No heat press. No iron. No hassle.

Step 1

Make a small slit in the backing
  • Use sharp scissors to cut the edge
  • Keep the cut shallow, not through the film
  • Prevents bending or wrinkling during peel
  • Works best when started from a corner

Step 2

Peel the backing off the transfer

    Pull slowly to make sure the full design stays on the clear film.

Step 3 

Place the transfer onto your surface
  • Surface must be clean and dry
  • Smooth, hard materials work best
  • Avoid textured or fabric areas
  • Do not reposition once applied

Step 4

Press down firmly with a squeegee

    Apply strong, even pressure across the entire design.

Step 5

Peel the clear film away
  • Peel slowly at a low angle
  • Watch for lifting at edges
  • Stop and re-squeegee if needed
  • Peel in one smooth motion

Step 6

Repress to seal the design (optional)

    One final press helps secure edges and improves durability.
