Culture here runs deep, and people dress for it.

01

NMAA brackets

The New Mexico Activities Association hosts the statewide championships each year. From Albuquerque programs to small towns in the east, each postseason round means team and parent shirts on a short clock. Order on Monday and most of the state has them before the weekend.

02

Lobos, Aggies and rivalry week

When UNM and NMSU meet in the Rio Grande Rivalry, in football or on the hardwood, alumni groups, student orgs and watch parties want one design in a full size run. Order by Wednesday for a Saturday game. There is no minimum for a small group.

03

Balloons, fiestas and Indian Market

Balloon Fiesta pilots, crew and chase teams need shirts before the first full week of October, Fiestas de Santa Fe vendors before Labor Day weekend, and Indian Market artists and booth helpers before the weekend after the third Thursday of August. Crews grow at the last minute, so order a few extra.

04

Pueblos, nations and feast days

Families, dance and drum groups and tribal programs need matching designs for feast days, runs and the Gathering of Nations at Expo New Mexico on the fourth weekend of April. Names and family branches fit on one gang sheet. Order two weeks out.

05

Bases, labs and field crews

Squadrons at Kirtland, Cannon and Holloman, teams at Sandia and Los Alamos, and oil and gas field crews need one logo in many sizes for unit events, family days and safety weeks. Order a week ahead, with volume pricing from 15 pieces per design.

Artists and booth helpers should order matching shirts early in the month.

Labor Day to SeptemberZozobra, Hatch and the state fair

Zozobra burns on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, Hatch holds its chile festival on Labor Day, and the New Mexico State Fair runs at Expo New Mexico in September.

Fair vendors should have stock in hand a week before opening.

OctoberBalloon Fiesta

Nine days of mass ascensions over Albuquerque in the first full week of October, while high school football heads toward the postseason.

Crew and chase team shirts go in two weeks before the first launch.

Late fall to winterPlayoffs, holidays and basketball

Football playoffs, the Rio Grande Rivalry on the hardwood, parish fiestas and holiday church events carry into winter sports.

Order bracket shirts on Monday and they arrive before the weekend.

Pressing at altitude

Dry air is easy on transfers, but a press in a cold mountain shop around Santa Fe may need extra time to reach temperature. Let it heat fully, pre-press the garment and peel hot. Instructions ship with every order.

How fast do orders reach New Mexico?

When should our balloon crew order Fiesta shirts?

Two weeks before the first launch weekend. That leaves time to press shirts for pilots, crew and chase drivers, with room for a quick second order if more people join.
