Carnival parades are run by krewes, from old-line Comus and Rex to Endymion, Bacchus, Orpheus and Muses. Riders, dance troupes, walking clubs and ball committees need shirts that match the year's theme, so order two weeks before you roll, and in the first half of January for the final-week parades.
Social aid and pleasure clubs organize second line parades with brass bands. Club shirts with the club name, founding year and full-color art print cleanly. Order by Wednesday of the week before your parade.
Saints games at the Caesars Superdome, Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center, plus the Sugar Bowl, the Bayou Classic and the high school championships. Order by Wednesday for a Sunday game.
Hospitality is the city's top sector by employment. Hotel staff, restaurants, tour companies and vendors working Jazz Fest, Essence and French Quarter Festival need staff shirts before the gates open. For Jazz Fest, order group shirts by mid-April.
Tulane, Loyola, Xavier, Dillard and SUNO groups, plus crews at the Port of New Orleans and NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility, need one design across a size run. Volume pricing starts at 15 pieces per design.
Carnival season opens on Twelfth Night, January 6, and ends on Fat Tuesday. The biggest parades fall in the last five days, and in years with an early Mardi Gras, krewes have even less time.

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival fills the Fair Grounds Race Course. Friend groups, vendor booths and bands need their festival shirts before the first weekend.
